I aspire to create designs that improve people’s lives.

A Little Bit About Me

I’m a designer to the core. Bringing happiness to people’s lives through good design and strategic thinking is what drives me. Design encompasses all of our lives. A life goal of mine is to use smart design thinking to improve as many moments in people’s lives as possible. From creative moments that inspire to simple moments that often go unnoticed.

While studying Graphic Design at the Rhode Island School of Design we watched the documentary, The 5 Obstructions. I’ll often think about that film when we have to rethink a design due to a new challenge.  This film proves that you can execute the same idea a million different ways and each can be amazing. Nothing has to be the same forever. Nothing should.

We live in a world that is changing every day, and it’s thrilling that design and design thinking can make this shifting world more enjoyable. More doable. Design’s ability to make life better is what drives me.

I am confident in my work because of my obsession with the details of design and my work experience. I’ve been a product/visual designer for the past 15+ years, focussed in the digital experience space. I’ve been designing apps since the first iPhone came out, and now we are conceptualizing what metaverse means to us and debating the role AI should play in our lives. In today’s world, we should design experiences for the real people who are using them. Inclusive and empathetic designs are the most successful.

The tools we use as designers are changing just as fast as the experiences we’re designing. I still believe that the best ideas start from quick sketches, but it’s also thrilling to easily design prototypes that move, animate and clearly illustrate to our clients the entire experience. Collaborative design programs have also changed the game, making brainstorming and large-scale projects so much easier.

I’m currently a Principal Product Designer at DEPT/Rocket Insights in Boston. Since joining the amazing team of designers and strategists, my primary client has been Solaria Labs (Liberty Mutual’s innovation lab). I’ve helped their team establish a strategic direction for some of the latest products, and helped develop team norms to continue to deliver innovative and impactful work even after my time there is done

I look forward to continuing to challenge myself building off the portfolio of work I’ve been so lucky to be a part of. I’ve helped create everything from GMC’s search-relevant pre-roll ads to leading a redesign of Dunkin’ Donuts website to creating Design Systems for CVS, Memorial Sloan Kettering, and Bank of America and many more exciting projects that consistently led to increased engagement and conversions on their sites.

I’m committed to creating strategic, creative work, and enjoy making art and spending time with my beautiful daughter.

CREATIVE DIRECTION

Directing a team of creatives to design engaging experiences is something I’ve learned how to do by working with some of the best Creative Directors in the business. Creating work that is consistent across the brand, high-quality and user-centric are just a few things I manage and drive my team to do everyday.

EXPERIENCE DESIGN

From website redesign to app development to rethinking in-store experiences, I’ve believe designing based on data and strategy to deliver high-preforming and empathetic products. Prototyping and user testing are all part of the process as well. Making the design come alive with animations and interactivity is key to translating a creative’s vision into development.

BRANDING

Graphic Design is where I started my career. Defining a company in a single mark and brand style guide that reflects the mission and voice sets the foundation for a company. In the current multifaceted digital times, it’s critical that style guides account for all the channels and dimensions it will fill.
